Cyber-criminals, fraudsters, organized crime groups and pedophiles are taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic. There have been cyber-attacks on infrastructure, such as hospitals, online sales of fraudulent coronavirus tests and protection, and with so many children at home in front of devices, child exploitation is increasing.
At this event Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, will be in conversation with Bruegel's Director Guntram Wolff and the Financial Times, to discuss what the EU can do to protect citizens against these threats.
This event is part of a series of talks and debates with Europe’s political leaders jointly organised by the Financial Times and Bruegel.
