Conference on European Economic Integration
How can the CESEE region become more resilient to such painful shocks and expand its policy space to support recovery?
The considerable economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that no economy is immune to regional or international spillovers. The economies of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CESEE) are no exception, not least because of their deep integration with the European Union. But how can the CESEE region become more resilient to such painful shocks and expand its policy space to support recovery?
Looking into the impact of this unprecedented crisis, the Conference on European Economic Integration (CEEI) sets out to provide answers to these and other pressing questions, addressing the topic of “CESEE in the COVID-19 crisis – the role of the EU and global spillovers.”
The Oesterreichische Nationalbank, in cooperation with Bruegel, will bring together senior global decision makers and high-ranking representatives from central banks, international organizations and academia for two afternoons of insightful presentations and thought-provoking discussions.
