
Bryn Watkins
Former Press and Communications Officer,
Bryn Watkins, a British citizen, studied languages and linguistics at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Bruegel, Bryn completed an internship at the European Parliament's Directorate-General for Communications. He worked in the Unit responsible for internal and citizen-facing events, and mainly assisted with the coordination of the 2015 Open Doors Day. During his internship at the European Parliament, Bryn was also the president of the trainees' association EPSA.
Before moving to Brussels, Bryn was a languages teacher at a secondary school in London, and international administrator at Royal College of Physicians. He also spent a year living in Hungary, where he worked with a media charity, leading democracy workshops and presenting a television show.
Bryn is a native English speaker and is proficient in French, German and Spanish. On good days he also speaks basic Hungarian.
