13:45-14:00As a new Parliament and Commission prepare to shape the future digital strategy, the approach may again follow a well-worn path of high ambitions, detailed action plans, and regulatory initiatives. Yet, after 40 years of European digital policymaking, Europe remains more dependent on the US and Asia than ever before. Europe still needs to do more to be fit for the digital age. This panel explored what can and should be learned from the past. The Letta and Draghi reports have already brought a dose of pragmatism to the ongoing political debate. This panel aimed to push the conversation even further.
