As part of Bruegel’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the conference on Globalisation and geo-economic fragmentation, was held in Amsterdam on 9 April 2025. Organised jointly by Bruegel and De Nederlandsche Bank, this event brought together leading participants from academia, policy institutions, and financial markets. It offered a unique platform for academics, policymakers, and market participants to engage in discussions about the key aspects surrounding globalisation and geo-economic fragmentation. Bruegel is proud to collaborate with national institutions to organise events in European capitals, and this conference provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange in a public forum.

In the frame of Bruegel's 20th Anniversary celebrations we are organising a series of events in our members states, to bring important European conversations to the capitals and hear views from national policy makers and experts on potential challenges and solutions.

You can see all of Bruegel's 20th Anniversary news and activities on our dedicated page.
