Pantelis Koutroumpis

An economist with a focus on digital communications, information technology and security, Pantelis has advised vendors, governments, regulators and international organizations across the world during the past decade. He is a Research Fellow at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group of Imperial College Business School and a Fellow of the Columbia Institute of Tele-Information at Columbia Business School. He has led projects of the World Bank, the OECD, all major EU institutions, the ITU, the World Economic Forum and others.
Pantelis has published articles in leading journals such as the Journal of the European Economic Association and Economic Policy and his research often appears in the FT, the Economist and Harvard Business Review. He is a member of the editorial board of Telecommunications Policy. His research has received international accolade including the thesis award by the TPU Group of the American Economic Association.
He has a Ph.D. in Economics from Imperial College London, a M.Phil. in Technology Policy from Cambridge University and an M.Eng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He is a chartered Electrical and Computer Engineer and a Certified Information Security Manager with experience in system design and information security policies.
