Ondrej Mates
Head, Capital Management division, European Investment Bank
Ondrej Mates is the Head of Capital Management Division within Risk Management at the European Investment Bank, the biggest multilateral financial institution in the world.
Ondrej started his career with Ernst & Young in the UK, working in the areas of financial audit, advisory and banking risk management. In 2009, he joined the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, working first in Financial Control and then in Risk Management, where he is currently the Head of Capital Management.
Ondrej holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Oxford. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
