Norman Röhner

Norman is a Researcher at VVA Economics and Policy.
Norman has thorough and proven knowledge of EU policies and politics and expertise in a wide range of policy areas including ICT, standardisation, intellectual property rights, and education. He has over two years of experience in managing and carrying out European public policy projects. Norman’s expertise relates in particular to impact assessments and projects involving cross-country data collection and analysis.
Prior to joining VVA, he gained relevant professional experience in EU affairs working as a technical Program Manager for a European ICT SME association and as Digital Policy Analyst for a think tank advocating open standards and open source software. This has provided him with valuable experience in researching, evaluating and forecasting the effects of European and national policies on different stakeholders as well as providing in depth analysis and advice following legislative developments in the European Institutions as well as the European standardisation bodies.
Norman is fluent in German and English, and he is currently learning Dutch.
In his free time he enjoys music, Sports and reading.
