Monica Brezzi

Monica Brezzi is Head of the Governance Indicators and Performance Evaluation in the OECD Directorate for Public Governance. In her capacity, she works to enhancing the evidence base for effective policy making on issues related to public governance and to supporting new thinking on the use of performance information in policymaking and service delivery. Between 2017 and 2019, Monica was the Director of Technical Assessment and Monitoring at the Council of Europe Development Bank, overseeing the preparation and implementation of the Bank’s social investment projects. Previously, she was Head of the Territorial Analysis and Statistics Unit at the OECD Directorate for Public Governance and Territorial Development, where she led the OECD work on measuring well-being and inclusive growth in regions and cities. Prior to joining the OECD in 2007, Mrs Brezzi served as advisor at the Ministry of Economic Development in Italy on policy evaluation. Monica is an Italian national and holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Padua (Italy)
