Min Chang
Director General for the Research Department, Bank of Korea,
Dr. Min Chang has been the Director General of Research Department, Bank of Korea(BOK) since March 2015. Prior to his current role, he had worked as the Director of Research at the Korea Institute of Finance(2013~2015). He also served as a Senior Advisor to Chairman of Financial Supervisory Committee(2011~2013) and Chief of the Macroeconomic Research Division at the KIF(2009~2010). From 1990-2008, he was a staff member at the BOK at various posts including a Representative of Washington DC office and an Senior Advisor to a member of Monetary Policy Committee. His other experiences include an Economist at the Bank for International Settlement in Basel, an Independent Director of Woori Finance Group and Woori Bank, a Board Member of Korea Money and Finance Association, a Member of Advisory Committee at the National Assembly Budget Office. He also taught economics at Korea University, Sungkyunkwan University and Sookmyung Women’s University. Dr. Chang received his Ph.D in Economics at the Michigan State University and his B.A in Economics at Seoul National University.
