Jacques Pieraerts
Vice President, Communication, External and Environmental Affair, Toyota Motor Europe,
Jacques Pieraerts (Antwerp, 1959) has a degree in Business Administration & Management in
Brussels (ICHEC).
He started his career in 1988 in the automotive industry with Ford Motor Company Belgium, as
a Sales representative. In 1991 he moves to London, to Ford's European Headquarters, as
Fleet, Marketing & Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager with responsibility for the
Nordic markets. 3 years later, he returns to Belgium fulfilling different functions before being
appointed Director of Marketing Operations and member of the Board of Directors at Ford
Motor Company Belgium in 1995. In 1997 he returns to the UK Headquarters, where he is
appointed Director of Public and External Affairs for Europe.
By the end of 1998, Jacques Pieraerts joins Toyota Motor Europe as General Manager
Corporate Affairs & Public Relations before becoming General Manager European Sales in
2001. In 2005 he moves to the position of General Manager Supply & Demand Management
and was promoted to Director of Sales Planning, Process and Pricing in 2007. In January
2010 he became Vice-president & COO of Toyota Spain where is then appointed President
and CEO in 2012.
He holds now the position of Vice-President Communication, External & Environmental Affairs
since 2015 at Toyota Motor Europe, Brussels Headquarters.
