Ignasi Guardans

Ignasi Guardans, PhD, is currently a Partner in the Brussels office of K&L Gates, one of the 20 largest world Global Law Firms, where he currently advises clients in EU policy and regulatory matters. He joined the firm in 2014, after a long career of public service which took him first to the Spanish Parliament (1996-2004), then to the European Parliament (2004-2009) and later to other public responsibilities mainly related with the audiovisual, film and broadcasting industries. During his tenure as MEP he was Vice Chairman of the International Trade Committee (INTA), and an active member of the Trans-Atlantic Legislators Dialogue with the US Congress. In his current position he also coordinates the European activities of the Trans-Atlantic Business Council (TABC).
Ignasi has been a regular guest and contributor in several Spanish radio and TV talk shows and debates on political and social subjects. He has also been an Op Ed contributor to both printed and online media, and is ranked among influential social media users in Spanish.
