The European Commission unveiled in March its legislative proposal for an EU response to the US Inflation Reduction Act: the Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA). Different ideas are currently being considered at different levels in view of strengthening the proposal and turning it into a more powerful driver of clean-tech investments in Europe. With this closed-door meeting, Bruegel aimed at contributing to the ongoing co-legislation process by pushing a frank discussion among key stakeholders.
